Project summary

Location: The development site sits among established existing dwellings on Albert Road, Brunswick Road and Antrobus Road in Handsworth, Birmingham.

General Description: The project consists of a new-build development of 34 houses some of which are for Birmingham Metropolitan Housing Trust and others are for sale. The site is a brownfield development and previously consisted of empty houses. There were quite a few inherent challenges across the site with poor ground and new buildings right up against the existing neighbours party walls. There are numerous residential neighbours, mainly Victorian terraced houses and a little further away is a school. The local centre of Handsworth is about half a mile away. There is also a small wild wooded area in the centre of the new development.
